A little about how we got started... Emma Bean Baby was inspired by one of my twin daughters, Emma. She was such a little string bean as an infant that we began calling her "Emma Bean" and the name just stuck! Emma had some frightening health concerns beginning at 3-months-old. She was given a prescription for a medicinal infant formula called 'Neocate'. This formula is extremely expensive, although worth every penny! To help reduce our medical costs, while still remaining a Stay At Home Mom, I got the idea to start a home-based business-- thus, Emma Bean Baby was "born"! Emma saw many pediatric specialists during her first year, due to an anaphylactic reaction she endured a week-long hospital stay at Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital in Houston, TX, and test, after test, after test. Ultimately she was diagnosed with severe peanut, egg and wheat allergies, after 9-months of fearing the worst. Emma's story ends happily as we are able to closely monitor her diet and environment to avoid those allergy triggers which landed her in the hospital.
